Digital advertising agency Local Splash have onboarded over 800 clients using Leadsie! So we thought, who better to chat to about how Leadsie eases client onboarding…

I caught up with Kyle, who heads up the Facebook department at Local Splash to get the lowdown on how they use Leadsie.

Who is Local Splash?

A US based digital ad agency, Local Splash is one of the leading agencies for small to medium businesses.

Their clients are landscapers, roofers, plumbers, electricians; mainly business owners who prefer spending their time doing what they’re best at and not having to get into the nitty gritty of the digital side of promoting their business.

So Local Splash takes the stress out of having to run the digital aspect of an IRL business and offer local SEO, Google Business Profile management, Facebook ads and whole host of other digital services.

What did client onboarding look like before Leadsie?

Kyle told me that the biggest onboarding challenge they encountered before using Leadsie was having to walk customers through what they needed to do to grant account access. Their team spent many hours on the phone guiding new clients through the process manually.

The walkthrough was unnecessarily complicated and annoying for the client.

Since Local Splash works with businesses who spend most of their time working in the field, their clients would put off doing what they needed to do for days because it was so complicated. The last thing they want is to sit on a long call to learn how to grant Facebook access! This necessary, painful process was not making for a smooth start to new client relationships for Local Splash.

Before Leadsie, Local Splash team members would need to over explain how to grant access to marketing accounts. This included a big email with a long list of steps that would confuse and frustrate clients.

There were around 15 steps in the onboarding process for the client — they had to add the Local Splash team members personally, so they'd go through that process of copying the URL three or four times for each team member.

Onboarding new clients was taking days on end—they would need chasing, couldn’t find where to add the right person, and some couldn’t even copy and paste.

Not what you want when you're trying to make a great impression!

A little sprinkle of onboarding magic

Clients outsource for a reason, they want to hand over their password and leave the work in the hands of trusted experts and not have to think twice about it.

Now Local Splash use Leadsie, their clients can grant access right away after being taken on as a client. They can grant access in the initial interview call.

Clients have even been know to now say “That was so easy I didn’t even need to be on a call!”

With Leadsie embedded on the Local Splash website and all the client needs to do is click the link, enter their credentials and BOOM, the agency has access.

Easy to use, even for non-tech savvy clients

It’s clear to clients that now there are only a couple of steps to give access which means the task isn’t deprioritized. Happier clients = happy agency who can get straight to work without any delays.

And thanks to the Gchat Webhooks integration, agency staff can save even more time!

The whole team can see when a client has granted access instead of one person having to go into Facebook, check and report back. What a breeze!

Thanks Kyle, it was a pleasure chatting with you and learning more about how Leadsie is making your life easy.
